Growth Charts: A child who is at or above the 85th percentile would be considered at risk for becoming overweight; those at or above the 95th percentile are considered to be overweight.

Note:  Determining the your child's BMI along with the use of the growth charts is the most accurate way to determine if your child is overweight/obese.  Consult your physician with both results to get a more accurate interpretation.
